Gonçalo Delgado, Photojournalist, Braga.
Started his career in 2006.
He divides his time between Documentary Photojournalism and News (Sports, Politics, Daily Life, (…) )
Since 2011 he has focused on long-term projects and Documentary Photojournalism in Europe, developing themes related to the human condition, but not exclusively.
His work has been published in some of the most reputable international media, including:
National Geographic; Wall Street Journal (USA); Telegraph (UK); The Guardian (UK); Seattle Times (USA); Le Monde (FR); El Pais (ES);Sunday Times (USA); Internationale (IT); La Republica (IT); NBC(USA); Kurier (AUS); Die Zeit (DE); Focus (DE), among others; As well as in all the most relevant media in Portugal.
In 2021 he was assigned to cover the Portuguese Presidency of The Council of the Europe Union, to cover some of it’s highest moments.
In 2016, he founded Low Light Press, a photography and documentary video agency.
In the past he was a Staff Photojournalist at WAPA ; Corbis Images (UK) and throughout the years collaborated with Global Images, Lusa, EPA - European Pressphoto Agency and Impresa agencies. At the moment he's working with National Geographic, Público, Expresso, among others.
He was one of the official photographers of Braga: European Youth Capital 2012 and also a contributor to Guimarães: European Capital of Culture 2012;

2015 - International Photojournalism Award Estação Imagem - Sport - with the project “Multifaceted Human Evolution”
2016- International Photojournalism Award Estação Imagem - Daily Life - with the project “Winter Nomadism”
2017 - Estação Imagem International Photojournalism Award - Ambiente - with the reportage “Inferno”
2018 - Estação Imagem International Photojournalism Award - Arts and Shows with his 12 year project “Under God’s Shadow”
2018 - Estação Imagem International Photojournalism Award - Grant - “What The Land Gives us”
2021 - Estação Imagem International Photojournalism Award - Reportage of the Year with the coverage of the Covid19 panorama at Portugal with the reportage “ReGenesis”.
he had promoted numerous exhibitions in national and international territory, including Asia, in Beijing, Tokyo, Osaka and Shanghai, as well as images in private collections and historical assets for the Municipality of Braga.
Over the years, he has been teaching numerous Photography and Photojournalism Workshops, including workshops and also as a Teacher of Photojournalism at the Master Degree of Social Communication at Universidade Do Minho ( Minho’s University)
